Reports To: Director Department: Special Education - Central FLSA Classification: Classified Full-Time/Part-Time Status: Hourly, part-time, non-exempt Regular/Temporary: Regular Salary: Hourly Framework (Step 3, A-K) Range: $28.45 to $34.69/hour. Salary is commensurate with experience. Application Opening: 1/23/26 Application Closing: 2/28/26 JOB SUMMARY The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)/Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Support Assistant is responsible for ensuring that students with exceptionally diverse needs have access to our general education curriculum. Special Education Academic Coaches are essential to ensuring all students get the individualized attention requisite for success. Duties include: Assist teachers by working with individual students on a one-to-one basis o 1:1 duties include but are not limited to - toileting and hygiene support - attending to student medical needs - Implementation of a behavior intervention plan - 1:1 instruction delivered in a separate setting - Lifting or transferring students o Implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans o Implementation or Behavior Crisis Plan and management of behavioral escalation o Behavior Data Collection
Requirements / Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED; and - Registered Behavior Technician Certification or ABA Training equivalent; and - One of the following: - An Associate's degree (or higher); or - 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university; or - Met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal State or local academic assessment, knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading (or readiness), writing (or readiness), and mathematics (or readiness), CBEST test.
