Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a certificated teacher and site administrator, this position provides support in maintaining classroom management, fostering a positive classroom culture, and assisting with academic instruction within a juvenile hall school program. This role focuses on reinforcing appropriate student behaviors, supporting individualized education and behavior plans, and promoting a safe, respectful, and structured learning environment for youth in custody.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education Required: •High school diploma or equivalent •Associate’s Degree OR 48 semester units from an accredited college/university OR Instructional Aide Exam OR CBEST with a passing score. Experience Required: •Two (2) years of paid experience working with school aged children •One (1) year experience working with at-risk students is preferred
