Job Summary
The Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) will work with school students in screening, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating disorders of communication. These disorders of speech and language may include issues with articulation, fluency, voice, verbal and written language, auditory comprehension, and cognition communication. This position will develop and execute specific components of a speech and language program as specified in an Individualized Educational Program (IEP). •Must have successfully completed a practicum in speech and language program. Applicants who have demonstrated knowledge and experience with programs designed to improve educational opportunities for minority pupils will be given preference.
Education:
• Must hold a baccalaureate degree with a major or specialized training in speech and language; a masters degree in speech pathology or a closely related field is highly desirable.
• Must hold a California credential authorizing service as a Remedial Speech Specialist, i.e., the Exceptional Child-Speech Hearing Credential, Standard Credential with specialization in the Speech and Hearing Service, Restricted Speech Hearing Credential, or Clinical Services Rehabilitation Credential.
Possession of a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board License
POSITION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
- SIGNING BONUS of $5,000
- Unlimited years of prior experience granted upon verification.
