The Assistant Principal will support the Principal in site operations, instructional program, student recruiting, professional development, parent organization, staff culture, and student culture. The Assistant Director will also interact with a wide range of stakeholders connected to the site, and will represent the school locally. Key Responsibilities: The Vice Principal will respond to urgent site-based needs, including staff support, front-office support, and student discipline, while actively developing leadership competencies aligned with the Leader-in-Me framework. In conjunction with the school site leadership team, the Assistant Director will lead/manage/Support in all key areas, including: the Instructional Program; operations; professional development and staff culture; parent involvement; and student culture. Instructional Program: All components of the instructional program, including intervention, special education, and intersession opportunities Ensure that student transcripts are accurately updated and readily available. Schedule and lead info/education nights for students and families Ensure that formative data is driving instructional decision-making to promote growth for all students Operations: Develop a plan for administering all required assessments and ensure proper and timely reporting of assessment data SBAC process, including CELDT testing; plan for physical fitness testing; plan for SBAC testing.
