Liberty Union High School District is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical School Social Worker to support our high school students in the 2025/2026 School Year. LUHSD offers a competitive salary, benefits package, and compensation for years of experience. Site: District Wide *Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted via email. The primary responsibility of this position is to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally, through individual and group counseling and by collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment that strengthens connections between home and school. Under Direction of the Assistant Superintendent Student Services, work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide mental health services and related social services to students/families. Work collaboratively with district Student Services and Special Services Department, school site principals, teaching staff, school psychologists and behavior specialists to deliver comprehensive services to children with acute situational emotional needs and to those students who are eligible for Educationally Related Mental Health services (counseling) as part of their Individualized Educational or Section 504 Plans. Provide consultation to district partners and school site administrators and staff on effective interventions for students experiencing emotional and/or behavioral barriers to learning.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSES: • Degree in Social Work (MSW) • Valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in School Social Work. • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences. • Possession of and ability to maintain a valid California Driver’s License and valid auto insurance. EXPERIENCE: • Two (2) years’ experience of counseling or social work • School-based mental health/counseling experience • Experience working with children in an educational setting
