Under the direction of the Deputy/Assistant Superintendent the Executive Director provides comprehensive leadership and administration for the Southern California Regional Occupational Center. operations including, but not limited to, Curriculum and Instruction, Human Resources, and Student Support Services. This certificated management position is responsible for the effective operation of curriculum and instruction, student support services, and human resources, ensuring alignment with the mission, vision, and strategic goals of the center. The Executive Director will also provide administrative oversight and direction for work-based learning programs, fostering strong partnerships with business, industry, and post-secondary institutions to enhance student career readiness and success. The Executive Director is part of the Superintendent’s Executive Cabinet. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Administration Provide executive leadership in planning, organizing, and directing the programs and operations of SCROC. Develop, implement, and evaluate short- and long-term strategic plans in collaboration with the Superintendent, Governing Board, and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies governing Career Technical Education (CTE) and Regional Occupational Centers/Programs (ROCP). Prepare and administer the annual budget for assigned areas; exercise fiscal control and ensure efficient use of resources. Represent SCROC at local, regional, and state levels; advocate for CTE and promote the center’s programs and achievements. Curriculum, Instruction, and Work Based Learning Provide administrative oversight for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a rigorous, relevant, and standards-aligned CTE curriculum.
