This recruitment will be used to form an eligibility list. The eligibility list will be active for a period of six months and will be utilized to fill current and future vacancies in this classification. Job Purpose Statement: Under the direct supervision of the Transportation Director, provides support to the transportation department and transports special services students on designated routes. A School Bus Drivers Certificate is required for Lead Driver II – Special Services. Candidates who do not hold a School Bus Drivers Certificate are still encouraged to apply, as they can be hired as a Lead Driver I - Special Services.

Requirements / Qualifications

Job Requirements - Qualifications: Experience: Five (5) years of successful employment as a driver for Special Education students, El Dorado County Office of Education experience preferred, prior record of safe driving experience and successful interaction with children with special needs. Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
