On-Call Classified Substitute positions to cover the absences of employees, new positions not filled yet, or extra help when needed. You will be utilizing the Red Rover Sub System to obtain jobs.

Requirements / Qualifications

As an On-Call Classified Substitute, you can substitute in a variety of positions. Additionally, if you hold a high school diploma or equivalent (not required to become a substitute), an associate's degree or higher, a current CPR/First Aid card, a Food Handler's Certificate, or any other relevant certifications, please attach them to your application.

If you need to obtain a Food Handler's Card, the only Online version Riverside County accepts is https://riverside.statefoodsafety.com. Alternatively, you can visit one of their area offices. If you have a CPR/FA card, attach it to the application. (We require Adult/Child/Infant certification.)

Examples of the most common substitute positions, including the rate of pay of each listed: * Campus Instructional Aide - $20.08/hour: This position covers regular classroom, Expanded Learning after-school Program, Crossing Guard, and teaching students to play on the playground. * Campus Security - $24.46/hourly: (Must have SB390 requirement) * Instructional Assistant II - Bilingual. $20.58/hourly * Health Instructional Assistant II - $21.63/hourly: Assisting special education or moderate to severe students. * Custodian I - day/night time hours may vary.$21.63/hourly * Grounds Person - 6:00 to 2:30. $21.63/hourly * Auto Driver - $19.59/hour: Transporting students to and from home to school, usually a split shift. (required and H6 from DMV) * Library Media Technician - $24.46/hour: May need to be willing to volunteer your time until the trainer feels that you are competent to run the library.
