Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the immediate direction of the Superintendent and/or designee, screens students to determine the need for speech and language therapy services; provides speech and language therapy consistent with student’s IEP; serve non-identified at-risk students through a response-to-intervention (RTI) model; assists in the coordination of services for identified students; works collaboratively with regular education staff and special education staff; assists in other school programs as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in speech pathology. Must possess or be eligible for a California credential authorizing services as a speech and language position. Minimum Experience: Successful experience/training in the assessment, diagnosis, and intervention with individuals with communicative disabilities; successful experience in effectively communicating (orally and in writing) assessment results and intervention strategies; successful experience in working cooperatively with students, staff, and parents.
