Morro Bay High School serves the diverse coastal communities of Morro Bay, Los Osos, and Baywood. A wide range of co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities supports our commitment to preparing every student to be college and career-ready while sustaining a supportive and inclusive school culture. The High School Principal serves as the instructional leader of Morro Bay High School and works collaboratively with staff, students, families, and community partners to ensure a high-quality education for all students. The Principal leads curricular and instructional development, implements student support systems, monitors school progress and student success, and manages secondary school operations. The position is a key member of the District’s instructional leadership team and is responsible for developing inclusive and collaborative community relationships. *Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred to support our multilingual community and enhance school-home communication.

Requirements / Qualifications

Valid California Administrative Services credential or Certificate of Eligibility as well as a valid English Learners Authorization. Applicants with out-of-state credentials will be considered but must meet California certification requirements before start date. Applicants enrolled in an administrative credential program will only be considered if they qualify for a certificate of eligibility that is issued prior to the start date.
