Job Summary
Reading Reach Literacy Center is seeking qualified and dedicated Reading Teachers to provide individualized, structured literacy instruction to students in grades K–8. The ideal candidates will have experience supporting students with dyslexia and other reading challenges and will be committed to fostering academic growth and confidence in struggling readers. Two positions available: 1) Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from approximately 3:30pm-6:30pm (or 2:30pm-6:30pm). 2) Tuesdays and Thursdays, from approximately 3:30pm-6:30pm (or 2:30pm-6:30pm). -The ideal candidate will be a credentialed teacher who is available for 2-3 afternoons per week (T/Th, or M/W/F) from 3:30pm-6:30pm (or 2:30pm-6:30pm) in Oceanside, CA. -Prior experience working with students who have reading difficulties or dyslexia is strongly preferred. -Training in Orton-Gillingham, IMSE, Wilson, or comparable structured literacy approaches is preferred. -Benefits available after 90 days (retirement, sick time). -Livescan fingerprints required for employment. -Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Deliver one-on-one reading and spelling instruction using structured literacy methods, -Implement Orton-Gillingham based strategies and multisensory techniques, -Assess student progress and maintain accurate instructional records, -Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, -Prepare lesson plans and materials tailored to individual student needs using specified curriculum & materials, -Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment.
