These include: small class sizes, personalized instruction, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities like burgeoning athletic programs, before and after school care programs, early college (dual enrollment, articulation, concurrent enrollment), AVID, and CTE courses. The schools also provide students with access to technology resources, including laptops and tablets. Students in high school also have opportunities for community service, internships, and career exploration experiences coordinated through GTA’s Work-Based Learning (WBL) program. The Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities, including those on the Autism Spectrum, and support their academic, social, and emotional development. The role requires collaboration with school staff, parents, and outside agencies to implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
