Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a Special Education Teacher, the successful candidate will assist in the academic program of 6th-12th grade special education students. Special Education Certificated Teacher Resource (CTRs) employees are a key part of our special education team. CTRs will support their Supervising Special Education Teachers by working 40 hours per week. They are role models for our students, and are expected to look, act, and speak, as representatives of the school at all times.

Requirements / Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university 30-Day California Substitute Teaching Permit Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction Years of experience working directly with middle and/or secondary students Preferably have experience working with specialized student populations (English Learners, Homeless, Foster Youth, etc.) Possession of a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation TB Clearance Obtain Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance through the DOJ and FBI
