HCSD offers many PD opportunities outside of school and programs to collaborate within and across the schools to promote best practices. Our School Foundation is instrumental in supporting small classroom sizes and specialists. OUR COMMUNITY Hillsborough (HCSD) is a town just south of San Francisco, with a population of approximately 10,000. The families of HCSD form a cohesive community that supports the school tremendously. The School Foundation is active and robust and plays a key role in supporting HCSD financially. The school district has one of the highest per-student spending in the state. The parent community is engaged and plays a supporting role, primarily in celebrating the schools, the staff, and the students. Our community is also diverse, and our staff is committed to meeting the needs of all its students.
