Modesto City Schools is a Pre-K through 12th grade district, serving approximately 30,000 students. The District is one of the largest employers in Stanislaus County, with over 3,200 employees. Requirements / Qualifications
Experience/Education Minimum Requirement: Five (5) years experience in videography and digital media production; graduation from high school or possession of a General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate. License/Certificate Requirement(s): Typing certificate evidencing the ability to keyboard at a net rate of 45 words per minute or passage of the MCS Clerical Assessment; valid California Driver's License Required Materials: ***3-5 video examples (up to 15 minutes total). At least 75%-80% of the work shown must have been shot and edited by you. ***Resume ***One (1) Letter of Recommendation
Applicants must clearly indicate their role and level of involvement in each video (e.g., shooting, editing, scripting, producing, graphics, etc.). Videos cannot be uploaded directly through Edjoin; however, applicants may upload upload a PDF with links to their portfolio or videos. Video examples must include: 1. At least one 30-45 second social media reel (designed for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, or YouTube Shorts). 2. At least one longer-form storytelling video (2-5 minutes) demonstrating narrative structure, pacing, and audience engagement. Upon selection and completion of the interview process, applicants will be required to participate in a practical assessment.
