The teacher fosters a love and appreciation for music while teaching foundational music theory, vocal development, rhythm, and introductory instrumental skills. In collaboration with faculty and administration, the Music Teacher plans and directs student performances throughout the year, including school concerts, liturgical music for Masses and religious celebrations, and other school events. The teacher also serves as the Director of the School Musical, overseeing all aspects of the production—including casting, rehearsals, music instruction, and performance—while supporting students in artistic expression, confidence, teamwork, and leadership. The Music Teacher intentionally integrates Catholic values and teachings into instruction, supporting the spiritual formation of students and the mission of the school. This role requires collaboration with classroom teachers, campus ministry, and staff to enhance interdisciplinary learning and contribute to the overall religious and educational life of the school.
