We are hiring in the following geographic regions: • El Dorado Hills to Camino The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for Instructional Assistant- Special Services Program, on a year-round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings. Purpose Statement: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, assist in supervising classroom, playground, and community activities of students with disabilities and Juvenile Hall students; present instructional material under the teacher’s direction to individual students or small groups; relieve teacher of routine clerical duties.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Experience: Successful interaction with children in a classroom or other structured setting, preferably with students with disabilities. • Education: High school diploma or the equivalent, and two years of college (48 units), or A.A. degree (or higher), or pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction. *All applicants are required to pass testing in order to be placed on an eligibility list*
