Job Summary

The Career Technical Education (CTE) Medical Assistant (MA) Instructor, under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, instructs students in the essential administrative and clinical competencies required in medical office and clinic settings. The instructor implements curriculum, maintains student records, supports recruitment and retention, collaborates with industry partners, prepares students for industry-aligned certifications, supervises clinical experiences, and ensures full compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess or be eligible for a California Designated Subjects (DSC) or Career Technical Education (CTE) in Health Science & Medical Technology Teaching Credential (K12–Adult Setting). Three years of experience as a medical assistant, RN, LVN, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant (applicant must provide current and valid license). Experience teaching CTE or medical assisting courses preferred. Bilingual ability in Spanish preferred.
