QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and shall be required to attend trainings in areas of need. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. High School Diploma or equivalent and two of the following: A. Pass the District Proficiency Examination at the level appropriate to the job classification. B. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to journeyman skill with a minimum of three (3) recent years of experience as a journeyman mechanic. C. Skilled journeyman auto mechanic with completion of apprenticeship training AND two (2) years of recent experience in an automotive repair shop with experience working on electric vehicles (Completion of two years training at a trade school in auto shop or ASE L3 Certification (or equivalent certification) may substitute for one year of the required and recent experience.) LICENSES: o Possess and maintain a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license. o Class B license o Proof of journeyman-level qualifications or certifications.
