General Responsibilities
-
Under the general direction of the Project Manager(s), the Assistant Project Manager will be a key player on one of our regional teams, helping us efficiently deliver high-quality construction projects for public schools. This position will join our team of construction consultants and provide expert guidance and project management exclusively to Washington State School Districts as owners representatives.
- Region:
Northwest Washington Region - This position will primarily support projects in Whatcom County with additional project support in Skagit, Snohomish, and Island Counties. Work will be conducted from home or regional office, with regular travel to school districts and project sites as needed. Candidate should be located within, or adjacent to, this service area and have access to high-speed internet.
Assignment:
This position is full time, year round. -
Essential Functions/Other Functions

Essential Functions:
Provide some or all of the following project/construction management functions for school construction projects:- Assist with pre-bond planning in the areas of budget, scheduling, and related strategies.
- Establish and monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality control requirements.
- Act as the owner's representative during the design, construction, and closeout periods.
- Provide clear and concise financial and other capital project status reports to client districts on a periodic basis.
- Create and deliver project presentations to school boards, community groups, school administrators, and other stakeholder groups.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Five years of work experience in construction/construction administration or owner's representation in design and construction.
- Experience using MS Word, MS Project (or similar scheduling system) and MS Excel.
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or Business.
- Experience with the State of Washington Public Works requirements.
- Knowledge of the OSPI funding assistance program for K-12 schools in the state of Washington.
- Experience making presentations.

- Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
- CSG operates state wide. Opportunities and assignments may occur at various geographic locations.
- May work in a variety of settings including outdoors or office environments.
- Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
