We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration of Justice Instructor position located at our campus in Menifee, CA. Mt. San Jacinto College seeks an Administration of Justice Instructor to teach and develop courses in Administration of Justice. This is a full-time tenure-track academic position. The ideal candidate is student-oriented in their approach and dedicated to student success and will be skilled in generating student engagement in learning and will create welcoming learning environments that are equity-based and culturally affirming. Full-time instructors are typically assigned 15 lecture hours of student contact time (or the equivalent in laboratory, studio or related activities) of student contact time per week. Office hours are also required. Faculty members are expected to participate in college governance through Academic Senate appointments to standing councils, committees, and/or a variety of task forces. Teaching assignments may include a mixture of day, evening, multi-campus, off-campus and online classes. Initial placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience, not to exceed step five (5) on the assigned salary schedule. Step five (5) may be exceeded if the district determines an extraordinary need, or circumstance warrants a higher placement. This is a full-time tenure-track academic position. This Academic assignment requires 176 service days per academic year. While this current vacancy is expected at the Menifee Valley Campus, applicants may be assigned to any district facility. The start date for this position will be Fall 2026 (August).

A Bachelor's degree, in administration of justice or police science or a lifetime California community college credential that permits full-time service as an Administration of Justice Instructor 3. Demonstrated strong commitment to remain current in the field of administration of justice and to the mission of community college education, as evidenced through ongoing professional development and related personal and professional experience. 4. Proven practice maintaining regular and substantive student contact in online/hybrid courses (e.g., Canvas), including timely feedback, proactive outreach, and connecting students to support services; skilled at identifying and meeting student needs and ensuring accessibility. 5. Proficiency with modern instructional technology and LMS (e.g., Canvas), including regular and substantive online interaction, timely feedback, and proactive identification of student needs with appropriate referrals. 6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse students and colleagues, as applied to the topic of administration of justice, including those with varying levels of academic preparedness and from different cultural, gender, racial, ethnic, sexual orientation, socioeconomic, and disability backgrounds.
