Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, coordinates and supervises accounting functions for the District. Ensures District financial records and internal controls are properly maintained and in compliance with regulations. The Supervisor of Accounting oversees and participates in processing complex accounting transactions and reports and assuring compliance with regulations. The Supervisor of Accounting is accountable for efficient and effective accounting operations. Advancement to this position is based on need and compliance with the qualifications of the position, including the ability to produce financial reports by integrating operations and implementing accounting controls.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business or equivalent and four years of experience in accounting including one year at a supervisory level. Additional experience in an educational or governmental agency may be substituted for higher education on the basis of two years of experience for one year of college. May require a valid California driver’s license.
