The Director of Campus Life will collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to create holistic opportunities that foster students’ academic, social, spiritual, and leadership growth as people for and with others. This leader will also oversee the Student Life faculty and staff, mentor student leaders, and ensure programs contribute to a positive school culture, student engagement, and the overall college preparatory experience. The Director also supports and co-facilitates initiatives to promote, sustain, and animates the Jesuit charism and Ignatian Identity throughout the school and collaborates closely with the President and other designated leaders in adult formation.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Campus Life is responsible for shaping a vibrant, inclusive, and faith-filled student experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic Leadership:
- Support and promote the Catholic, Jesuit identity and mission of the school in all aspects of the role
- Serve as a member of the Academic Leadership Team and assist with general school supervision duties including daily supervision and student life events
- Assist the Principal and Academic Leadership Team in the planning and implementation of school-wide academic initiatives
- Foster a positive school culture that values respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement
- Support and develop faculty and staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with school leadership, faculty, staff, and families to ensure high academic standards and a vibrant, supportive school community
- Share planning and coordination duties for major school events (eg, Orientation, Assemblies, Baccalaureate Mass, and Graduation) and family teacher conferences with academic leadership team and other school leaders
- Assist the Principal with the academic hiring process for faculty positions and academic staff
- Assign, manage, and develop the academic teams and their leaders
- Promote the integration of Student Life and the Corporate Work Study Program as essential components of the college preparatory experience
- May teach one course section in an area of expertise, as needed
Campus Life:
- Provide strategic vision and leadership for student life programming, ensuring alignment with the school’s Jesuit, Catholic mission and values
- Ensure students have access to opportunities that support holistic development, including academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth
- Oversee major student life programs, including student activities, student government, athletics, campus ministry, service learning, clubs, after-school programming, and other initiatives; supervise and support faculty and staff leading these programs
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to design and deliver safe, inclusive, and engaging co-curricular and extracurricular experiences for all students
- Directly manage and execute student life programs, as needed, to ensure high-quality experiences and student engagement
- Partner with the Principal and Campus Minister to integrate Catholic faith formation, spiritual development, and Jesuit identity across student life programming
- Develop policies and procedures that ensure equitable access, safety, and accountability in all student life activities
- Support student leadership development by mentoring student leaders, advising student leaders, and providing guidance for peer-led initiatives
- Evaluate the effectiveness of student life programs using data, feedback, and reflection to inform continuous improvement and respond to evolving student needs.
Mission and Identity
- Co-facilitate the Mission Formation Committee and collaborate with the President and other formation leaders to design formation experiences that deepen understanding of Jesuit spirituality and Catholic identity across faculty, staff, students, families and Board members.
- Support the development and implementation of adult mission formation programming, including new-employee formation, ongoing spiritual development, and community-wide opportunities for reflection and prayer
- Partner with Campus Ministry and school leadership to integrate Ignatian principles into retreats, liturgies, prayer services, and community gatherings
- Support mission governance by assisting with Board of Directors formation, Jesuit sponsorship reviews, and Cristo Rey Network mission-aligned assessments
- Serve as a liaison to Jesuit partners helping connect CRSJ with broader Ignatian resources and formation opportunities
- Maintain and build a Resource Library on Ignatian Spirituality and Jesuit Charism that is available for the ongoing formation of Staff/Faculty;
Organizational Leadership and Strategic Advancement:
- Partner with the Principal as needed in managing the school’s operational processes, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting, school policies, calendaring and facilities
- Assist in the development and execution of the school’s strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the mission and long-term goals
- Represent CRSJ with the Cristo Rey Network, and in the community, as requested by the Principal or President
- Assist the Principal and Senior Director of Strategy, Talent and Enrollment with school accreditation and sponsorships, as requested
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals, establishing rapport with all constituents
- Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Principal to further the mission and academic vision of Cristo Rey
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree or in progress in educational leadership or a related field preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with demonstrated success in fostering school culture, managing faculty, and supporting student development
- Formation and or education in Ignatian Spirituality, Discernment, Jesuit Pedagogy, Ignatian Leadership, Jesuit History, and/or Theological/Pastoral formation
- A passion for student life
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and inspire trust among faculty, staff, students, and families
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of Catholic education, social justice, and diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Ability to lead with a growth mindset, focusing on continuous improvement and a joyful learning environment for all students
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including parents, students, faculty, staff and community partners
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stand, walk, and supervise students for extended periods.
- Lift and move supplies for events or drives (up to 30 pounds).
- Travel locally for service site visits and partner engagement.

SALARY AND COMPENSATION
Range: $115,00 to $145,00 depending on education and years of experience. Full-time employees are eligible for:
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% for employees, 50% for dependents)
- 403(b) retirement plan eligibility
- 12-month administrator contract
