Preferred Qualifications & Abilities: 

• Experience in quantity food service.
• Knowledge of principles and methods of quantity food preparation, serving, and storage.
• Knowledge of care and use of food service equipment.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures relating to food preparation and serving.
• Ability to effectively work under supervision with others and to effectively assist other food service personnel.

Essential Functions: 

• Participates in preparation and serving of school breakfast, lunch, and component menu items.
• Assists in receiving and storing of food and supplies.
• Maintains satisfactory performance standards in food preparation techniques.
• Assisting in food preparation, baking, and cooking.
• Serving of food to students and staff.
• Cleaning, including but not limited to washing dishes, carts, food racks and walls, scrubbing floors, wiping tables, and emptying trash.
• Assisting with food and supply inventories.
• Operates register and collects student lunch tickets.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
