Job Summary

Gorman Virtual Academy (GVA) is seeking a qualified ELA Teacher to deliver high-quality English instruction in a virtual learning environment. The teacher will support student growth in reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while fostering engagement and academic success. Key Responsibilities: Deliver online English Language Arts instruction aligned with curriculum and state standards. Develop and implement lesson plans, assignments, and assessments for virtual learning. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback to support individual learning needs. Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student work. Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school initiatives as needed. Part-Time: 20.5 hours/week This position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person attendance required in the Lancaster, Santa Clarita, and Redlands, CA area for meetings.

Requirements / Qualifications

Single Subject Teaching Credential in English. Experience teaching in virtual or blended learning environments preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills. Must be a California resident and remain a California resident while employed
