Job Summary

The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Assistant Program Administrator reports directly to the DHH Program Administrator. The DHH Assistant Program Administrator provides support to the Downey-Montebello SELPA and District(s) personnel in the areas of Deaf and Hard of Hearing, which includes but is not limited to, the supervision of staff; development, planning and organizing of the services and activities of the regionalized programs. The DHH Assistant Program Administrator will also work in conjunction with the Downey-Montebello SELPA to ensure that services are provided as required by law, regulations, ordinances, and policies. This position is also responsible for the provision of educational and administrative leadership to the support staff responsible for providing student services.

•Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Deaf Education •Valid California Administrative Credential •Valid California Teaching Credential – Education Specialist-DHH, Special Education or Pupil Personnel Services •Valid California Driver’s License
