Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Social Work or related field. Experience: Four (4) years experience working with school age children in an educational or social services setting. Experience working with "at risk" students preferred. Special License, certification or other requirements: Licensed as Clinical Social Worker by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Incumbents must be licensed in California for a total of two (2) years prior to commencing any supervision an associate Clinical Social Worker and must have practiced psychotherapy or provided direct supervision of associate's or marriage and family therapist interns or trainees who perform psychotherapy for at least two (2) years within in the last five (5) years immediately preceding supervision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/DEMANDS Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to themselves or others. Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person and on the telephone.Seeing to monitor student behavior and read a variety of materials.Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate assigned instructional equipment.Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials.Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. HAZARDS: Contact with hostile or abusive individuals with unpredictable behaviors.
