Job Summary

Vision In Education is seeking a compassionate, student-centered School Social Worker to help shape meaningful, positive outcomes for students and their families. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being by developing schoolwide programs, providing individualized and group interventions, and collaborating closely with staff, families, and community partners. The School Social Worker will facilitate professional development for staff and lead trainings and workshops for families, building shared understanding and capacity to support student success within inclusive, trauma-informed learning environments. As a key member of our support team, you will: ~ Build trusting relationships with students and provide individual and group counseling focused on social-emotional health, wellness, and skill-building. ~ Support students experiencing emotional, behavioral, attendance, or family-related challenges through thoughtful assessment, case management, and crisis intervention. ~ Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote positive behavior supports, trauma-informed practices, and a caring school culture. ~ Monitor student progress and help guide intervention planning that fosters academic growth and emotional resilience. ~ Serve as a bridge between school, home, and community agencies, helping ensure students have access to essential services and supports. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, typically one day per week in the office, with additional in-person attendance required for trainings, student/family meetings, and community events. You will primarily support students in Sacramento County and surrounding areas. Requirements / Qualifications

- Possession of a valid California teaching credential or Pupil Personnel Services credential in School Social Work. - Master’s Degree in Social Work and a minimum of working to complete their Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Previous school experience, independent study or home-school experience is desirable.
