- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, and.
- Experience: Five years increasingly responsible experience supporting computer workstations, help desk and technology uses to manage these areas. A minimum of two years in a supervisory capacity is strongly preferred.
- Valid California driver's license

THE POSITION
The Technology & Data Services Division is now accepting applications for Manager – Technology Support Services.
Under the direction of assigned supervisor, plans, organizes, and directs the activities and operations related to the Helpdesk, desktop support, and site services; prepares and maintains the Technology Support Services unit budget and expenditures; assures issues related to implementation and support of information technology at the County Office are addressed efficiently and effectively; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel.
The Manager - Technology Support Services leads several major functions within the Technology and Data Services Division: Our help desk, call center, site support services, network support, and special projects.
An ideal candidate will:
Have experience leading call centers
Have experience managing field support technicians
Have experience working in K-12 educational settings
Have a strong technical background
Have experience in technical project management
Be adept at managing a diverse, dynamic team
Have exceptional customer service skills
The Manager – Technology Support Services supports the Santa Clara County Office of Education’s (SCCOE) staff and sites, the school districts we serve, and our extensive wide area network, providing mission critical services to education users in the county and region. The position also manages the SCCOE’s Technical Support team, and works closely with the Security, Infrastructure and Systems Engineering group on cross-functional projects.
This position is full-time, in-person and has a work year of 12 months/ 261 days/ 8 hour per day.
Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provide official documentation is submitted.
