Job Summary

Job Summary

CUHSD is currently looking for individuals who can work with our high school students to provide tutoring services during the school day and after school. The position requires a good understanding of core academic courses (Math, English, Science and Social Science) at the high school level. Candidates will possess strong communication skills to support students skill building in all content areas, facilitate students' use of notes/binders for organization, focus and classroom engagement, conduct group brainstorming and clustering sessions. The ideal candidates should be self-motivated, have good attendance and a friendly demeanor, and align with the District's core values of honesty, integrity and respect.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must possess the necessary math skills to tutor all levels of math from Alg. 1 to AP Calculus, and tutor in the area of English, Science and Social Science to high school students. A High School diploma or equivalent is required and must have completed two years of higher education study (48 semester hours in core subjects), OR hold an Associate's degree. Must be available to work during school hours, 15-30. Selected candidates will take a proficiency test. Tutor I $19.50 - pass proficiency test (does not need AA or 48 units in core subjects) Tutor II $22.00 - AA/AS or 48 units in core subjects from an accredited university or college and pass a proficiency test.
