We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable substitute employees to support our afterschool program. Substitutes play a vital role in ensuring students have a safe, engaging, and supportive environment when regular staff are unavailable. This is an on-call position - approximately 3-6 hours per day.
Requirements / Qualifications
Under the direction of the Program Administrator and/or Site Coordinator, the Expanded-Day Learning Support Staff assists with implementing learning activities and after-school care in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines. The role oversees and coordinates academic support, wellness, personal development, nutrition, and enrichment activities; manages day-to-day program operations; ensures health and safety compliance; and assigns duties to instructional assistants, tutors, and work-experience students. Responsibilities also include supervising students, leading enrichment activities, and collaborating with staff while upholding high expectations and GJUESD culture. Requirements / Qualification: • Must complete the On-Line Application (filled out completely, with CURRENT information) • Letter of Interest (preferred) • Resume (preferred) MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or the equivalent AND - Two years of college (48 units), OR - A.A. degree (or higher), OR - Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction (testing dates provided in posting).
