POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the site principal provide instructional support to students identified by teacher recommendation and parent request. Average class size will be approximately 10-15 students to one instructor. DUTIES – E=Essential Duties 1. Provide mathematics instructional support to students in a small-group setting E 2. Establish learning goals for students, based on California State standards E 3. Administer informal assessments to monitor student progress E 4. Communicate with students and parents regarding student progress E 5. Coordinate with site administration E 5. Maintain an effective learning environment E Requirements: 1. Ability to work cooperatively 2. Knowledge of District curriculum 3. Previous experience working with students, teaching experience preferred 4. BA or higher 5. Excellent classroom management skills
