Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, the Credentialed School Nurse provides comprehensive health and nursing services to students, faculty, and staff. The position promotes health education, prevention, and safety throughout the district while serving as a liaison between the medical and school communities. Responsibilities include conducting mandated health screenings, developing and implementing individual health maintenance plans, maintaining accurate student health records, and providing counseling and referrals to appropriate community resources. The School Nurse supports emergency preparedness, assists in addressing health-related attendance and safety issues, and provides guidance to site Health Clerks and staff on student wellness and health programs. Funding for this position is contingent upon the receipt of Federal and State Categorical Funds.
