This posting is to recruit for the Green Valley site. The El Dorado County Office of Education accepts applications for Classroom Assistant I in the Child Development Program on a year round basis, with no application deadline. This posting will be used to create an eligibility list. This list will be used for current and future openings. Classroom Assistant I vacancies are for 4 or 5 hour per day positions. The Western Slope extends from Pollock Pines to El Dorado Hills. Purpose Statement: Under direction of a teacher assigned to a Child Development program, assists in carrying out learning, recreation, and personal care activities for children ages 3, 4, or 5 years old, following state, federal, and County Office of Education guidelines. Bilingual/Spanish-English speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. Bilingual stipend available upon completion/passing of proficiency exam.

• Experience: Prior successful experience interacting with children and adults. • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
