DESCRIPTION OF BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist the Expanded Learning Site Coordinator in the instruction, supervision, and training of individual or groups of students by performing a variety of instructional support activities related to an effective save learning environment. Calendar is a 212 workday calendar, position is for 6 hours per day with the exception of Summer Program (beginning July 1, 2025-July 28, 2025 and again June 15, 2026-June 30, 2026 the position is 8 hours per day). The calendar for the 25/26 school year can be viewed on the District's website under Employees/Human Resources/Calendars/Instructional Assistant - Expanded Learning w/Summer Program (Calendar 253) **All applicants must pass or have passed the District Instructional Assistant exam. Date and location listed above. If you do not come on the assigned date, you will not be eligible for this position. Written exam will be waived IF applicant has two years of college (minimum of 48 units), or holds an AA degree or higher. A copy of the degree must be attached, if applicable. If you have passed the exam for this position within the past two years or have questions as to whether you need to take these exams, you will need to contact Personnel to verify that you will not need to retest, or you may be disqualified from this posting.
