Pittsburg Unified School District serves more than 11,000 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Resume Letter of Interest BASIC FUNCTION: Under general direction of the Director of Finance, the Coordinator of Finance assists in the planning, development, and management of technical fiscal record keeping, audit and reporting functions. Supervises and evaluates fiscal services staff. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following; • Prepares a variety of reports mandated by state and federal agencies • Works directly with site and departmental managers, preparing and monitoring budget, accounting and payroll activity • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget, interim budgets and budget revisions • Coordinates and assists in both internal and external audits • Develops and analyzes financial projections of District income and expenditures • Assists in fiscal year closing reconciliations and entries • Implements sound fiscal plans, internal control systems and audit activities to insure the District’s financial integrity, including the development of standard operating procedures and the integration of automated systems • Participates in the selection, training, and evaluation of fiscal services department employees • Assists in planning and assembling data for advisory groups and school site committees • Conducts staff development and training meetings • Monitors, assists and supports Associated Student Body (ASB) accounts at all schools • Other duties as assigned
