Job Summary

Job Summary

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under administrative direction to perform professional accounting work in maintaining District accounting records; to supervise accounting department personnel; to prepare, review, and file State, county and special project accounting reports; to ensure that the financial records of the District are maintained in auditable form and to work closely with independent, State or Federal auditors during any examination of the Districts’ financial records; to perform related duties as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: - Five years of professional accounting experience preferably in a school district. - Extensive experience in using large financial software applications and other office software applications including EXCEL and Word, Google Apps, or equivalent required, with proficient knowledge of ESCAPE and ASBWorks highly desirable. - Supervisory experience is highly desirable. Education: - Equivalent to completion of two years of college or a business college. - A major in accounting or business administration with an emphasis in accounting is preferred.

Work Week: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
