KEPPEL UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT CONFIDENTIAL DISTRICT OFFICE CLERK DEFINITION Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, performs front-office receptionist, clerical, and general administrative support duties for the District Office. Serves as a primary point of contact for visitors, callers, staff, parents, vendors, and community members and supports the day-to-day operation of the District Office through reception services, correspondence, mail, supplies, records, document preparation, scheduling support, and other routine clerical functions.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE OF: - Modern office practices, procedures, equipment, filing systems, and records-management practices. - Receptionist and customer-service practices. - Business correspondence and document preparation. - English usage, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. - Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, databases, and electronic document-management practices. - Basic school district or public-agency office practices and procedures. - Basic business-office records, purchasing documentation, contracts, and administrative tracking systems. - Principles and practices for maintaining confidential records and information. - Appropriate handling and safeguarding of confidential employer-employee relations and collective bargaining information.
EXPERIENCE: - Five (5) years of increasingly responsible clerical or administrative support experience, preferably in a California public school district or public agency. - Experience providing front-office, receptionist, business-office, or district-level clerical support is highly desirable. - Experience handling confidential or sensitive information is desirable. EDUCATION: - Associate degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Office Administration, or a related field is desirable. - An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
