POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Director of School Support and Transformation provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and systems-level guidance to advance school transformation initiatives across SPST-operated schools. Serving as a senior partner to the Chief of School Support and Transformation , the Executive Director leads accountability and school improvement systems, supports school site administrators, oversees instructional program implementation, and drives continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and student outcomes. The Executive Director builds and sustains collaborative and interagency partnerships; provides direction, support, and capacity-building to school and central office leadership teams; and ensures alignment to state and federal requirements, LACOE priorities, and the unique needs of youth served in juvenile hall, camps, and alternative programs. The Executive Director reports directly to the Chief of School Support and Transformation.
Requirements / Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience: • Minimum five (5) years of successful teaching experience • Minimum three (3) years school principal and/or district-level leadership experience • Experience working in alternative, court, or continuation education settings desirable Education: • Master’s degree in educational leadership or related field is required • Doctorate preferred LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Must possess and maintain: • Valid California Administrative Services Credential • Valid California Single Subject, Multiple Subject, or Education Specialist Credential
