Job Summary
The Operations and Finance Assistant supports the daily business operations of the school, working closely with the Executive Director and back-office provider to ensure efficient and compliant financial, HR, and administrative processes. This position plays a key role in maintaining smooth fiscal operations, managing purchasing and banking tasks, assisting with human resources, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Reports to: Executive Director Employment Type: Part-Time Classified (Non-Exempt) Key Responsibilities: - Serve as liaison between the school and back-office provider for finance, HR, and compliance matters. - Process purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments in accordance with school and charter fiscal policies. - Assist with payroll processing and staff onboarding documentation. - Manage petty cash and prepare bank deposits. - Support financial tracking and reporting for grants, reimbursements, and budgets. - Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews. - Provide administrative support for school operations, communications, and procurement. - Collaborate with leadership to uphold the school’s standards of integrity, accountability, and service.
Requirements / Qualifications
Qualifications - Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred). - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in finance, bookkeeping, or administrative support (school or non-profit experience preferred). - Experience working with financial software systems and/or charter school back-office providers preferred.
