Substitute teachers report to the School Principal and/or the Administrative Assistant to the Principal and are expected to teach a group of students on a temporary basis while the classroom teacher is absent, in accordance with the goals and directives of the classroom teacher, school and District. The employment of a substitute teacher is "at will", which allows for their release at any time. Availability of assignments varies from day to day and there is no guarantee of daily work.
