Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the site Principal, provides the instruction, supervision, and other related tasks of a self-contained classroom of students placed in the Opportunity Program due to behavior or attendance difficulties. The goal of the Opportunity Program is centered on developing a positive classroom climate conducive to improving student behaviors and attendance while meeting their academic needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) • Valid CA Multiple Subject teaching credential with embedded EL authorization or CLAD Experience: • A minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience • Training in the area of at-risk student populations (preferred)

  • Copy of Transcript (unofficial transcripts are acceptable for purposes of the application; official copies will be required if hired.)
  • Credential Copy (please post detailed credential stating expiration date rather than the certificate. )
  • English Learner Authorization (if your EL authorization is embedded in your credential, you do not need to attach a separate document; however, if you hold a CLAD certificate, please attach here.)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (three recent SIGNED letters of recommendation required)
  • Resume
