Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Training Required: High school graduate or equivalent and two (2) years security or law enforcement experience

Licenses and Other Requirements:

Drug Testing Clearance, valid First Aid and CPR Certificates. Valid California's Class C driver’s license and Evidence of Insurability. Pepper Spray Course Certificate, Possession of a California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services guard card. Must also complete the California SB 1626 24 hour BSIS Campus Security Course. 832 P.C. Arrest, Search & Seizure (40 hours Course) or police academy or equivalent training within one year of employment. Completed FEMA Incident Command System 100.

Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:

  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates.
  • Valid California's driver’s license.
  • Pepper Spray and Baton Endorsements.
  • Possession of a California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services guard card.
  • Must also complete the California SB 1626 24 hour BSIS Campus Security Course and provide certification prior to start of employment.
  • 832 P.C. Arrest, Search & Seizure (40 hours Course) or police academy or equivalent training.
  • Completed FEMA Incident Command System 100.
  • Obtain specialized equipment certification as required.
