Job Summary

Grace Lutheran School (GLS) in Huntington Beach, California, is looking for a new school principal. GLS is a small, private Lutheran school offering preschool through 8th grade. The Principal of Grace Lutheran School plays a vital role in leading and managing the school's daily operations, staff, and educational mission. Responsibilities include managing the budget, ensuring student safety, overseeing the curriculum, and supporting teachers. The Principal operates under the policies set by the Senior Pastor and the Grace Lutheran Church Council, while complying with federal and state laws. EXPECTATIONS In this role, the Principal has the authority to determine necessary actions and make decisions regarding the school's operational procedures. All programs must comply with the policies and procedures established by the State Board of Education, as well as any relevant state rules and regulations that apply to private educational institutions. SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES The purpose of the School ministry is to encourage children and their families to a relationship with Christ by teaching and modeling the character of Christ. The Principal will share his/her faith in words and actions. It is expected that the Principal must attend church regularly, take Communion, and financially support their home church. At least once a month, the Principal must attend Grace Lutheran Church.

Requirements / Qualifications

Must have a Master’s degree and at least 3-5 years of experience with similar responsibilities. Please submit your resume and cover letter.
