Job Summary
Job Summary
Under general supervision of a classroom teacher, the Teacher Assistant/Driver supports a program that allows students to participate in their environment as independently as possible. The Teacher Assistant/Driver supports the instruction, care, and supervision of developmentally, communicatively, or physically disabled children and youth. This position may include serving incarcerated youth. The scope of duties includes a variety of general classroom assistance, physical assistance, specialized health care assistance, and providing transportation as defined in student IEPs.
