Job Summary

Position Overview ProYouth is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as SOS-I (System of Support – Inclusion) Substitutes in Visalia. This role provides essential support to students with special needs, focusing on behavior, inclusion, and toileting assistance. Substitutes step in when regular SOS-I staff are unavailable, helping maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements / Qualifications

Key Responsibilities Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally—individually and in small groups Assist with lesson implementation and reinforce learning activities Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Monitor and manage student behavior in collaboration with site staff Build trust and positive relationships with students, staff, and families Uphold ProYouth’s mission, policies, and procedures Complete assigned duties accurately and on time Perform other related tasks as needed

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Plus 48 college units OR NCLB Paraprofessional Certification College degree in Special Education preferred Documented training in applied behavioral strategies Experience supporting students with behavioral challenges Special Education and toileting support training required Crisis Prevention Intervention and Handle with Care certifications required
