Fleet Supervisor at Anaheim Elementary School District (TK-6)
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE: • Graduation from high school supplemented by courses in automotive repair and diesel mechanics. Associate’s degree (preferred) in automotive technology, automotive/equipment maintenance or a related field. Three years’ journey-level automotive or diesel maintenance and repair experience. • At least two years in a supervisory or lead capacity is preferred. • Knowledge of techniques and practices of maintenance and repair of heavy and light vehicles and grounds maintenance equipment. • Knowledge of principles of training, supervision and providing work direction. • Knowledge of methods, equipment, tools and materials used in the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment. • Knowledge of fleet control, technical aspects of the field of specialty. • Ability to Oversee the day to day operations of the Transportation Department in the maintenance and report of District fleet vehicles and support equipment. • Ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of large and small gasoline and diesel-powered equipment and small engines. • Ability to train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff. • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and computerized malfunctions. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and make presentations with clarity and accuracy. • A valid Class B commercial driver’s license with passenger and air brake endorsements and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s Vehicle Insurance Policy.
