Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Cybersecurity Analyst for the Integrated Technology Services Department/Unit of the Integrated Technology Services Division. Under general supervision, the Cybersecurity Analyst provides support to SDCOE and participating district personnel in identifying and assessing their cybersecurity needs; assists in developing and testing new cybersecurity related applications and provides training to SDCOE and participating district personnel in cybersecurity related matters. Join the San Diego County Office of Education’s Cybersecurity Department, a collaborative and mission-driven team protecting the technology systems that serve more than 500,000 students and educators across San Diego County. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in monitoring and defending K-12 networks, systems, and data from evolving cyber threats. This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, values continuous learning, and wants to make a difference by strengthening cybersecurity across K-12 schools. Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires a combination of education, training and/or experience that clearly demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities detailed below. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in cybersecurity related fields is required. A typical qualifying background would include two or more years related work experience including significant work within a technical environment in the area of network, application development, computer support, or other complex technical environment. Certificates and Licenses: • GAIC or CISSP certified in areas of Security Essentials or incident handling highly desirable.

To be considered for this position, you must individually attach the following items to your completed EDJOIN Application: • Resume, detailing education and experience as it relates to this position • One (1) Letter of Recommendation dated within the last year • Copies of any certifications you wish to be considered The results of this recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacancy and any other vacancies in this classification for the next six (6) months, or until the list is exhausted.
