Job Summary
The Intersession Learning Recovery Teacher provides targeted instruction to support students in recovering absences and maintaining academic progress. This is a per diem assignment from November 24–26, February 17-19, or April 1-3 (3 days each session), with teacher work hours from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (4.5 hours daily) and one hour of prep time for the three-day session. Teachers should anticipate combination classes. To ensure compliance with state auditing requirements, teachers are responsible for the following: Provide Targeted Instruction: Deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in core academic subjects to promote student growth. Maintain Compliance Documentation: Accurately record student attendance, submit detailed lesson plans to the ELOP program, and collect work samples as evidence of student participation and progress. Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages engagement and success, effectively managing combination classes as needed.
