Hiring for Semester 2 of the 2025-2026 School year! Position Servite High School is seeking a passionate and mission-driven Computer Science Teacher to lead and expand our computer science pathway. Position Overview As the Computer Science Teacher and Pathway Leader, the candidate will: Teach up to four courses per semester, including: -HP Intro to Computer Science (Python) -AP Computer Science Principles -AP Computer Science A (Java) -Cybersecurity and Game Development* *Evolve into AP Cybersecurity for the 2026-2027 school year Guide students through hands-on, project-based learning that prepares them for college, internships, and careers in tech. Collaborate with faculty and leadership to grow the pathway and integrate Servite’s mission into the curriculum. Complete training (funded by the school) through the College Board to grow and align the Computer Science AP course load. Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate who: Is passionate about teaching high school students and building a robust computer science program. Has experience with Python and Java (required). Is highly organized and capable of teaching multiple courses. Has teaching experience (preferred) and a strong ability to engage motivated learners. Embraces Servite’s Catholic identity and mission of formation.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required: Candidate should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred: A California Teaching Credential is preferred, but not required Preferred: Experience teaching/coaching in a high school setting. Applications are reviewed upon receipt.
